End of Uchumi?

I wonder if this is the end of Uchumi - this step probably should have taken place a while ago.

I now wonder if some rich consortium of guys will now and acquire the assets of Uchumi at a paltry sum and hope to sell it later for a fortune.

Yes, my business partners and I are in discussion with the receivers of Uchumi to purchase the defunct institution and partner with a leading global retailer to bring it back to its former glory! We are in this for the long run and not just short run profits.

there's alot of politics and manuervering going on behind the scenes.
If it was a simple matter of profit and loss, Uchumi would have been running still..

Hey.. NSE and a group of investors aligned to the current political power dispensation are obviously behind this.

Problem is: How many many will go down this road?.. watch out.

its all clear to all and sundry that uchumi's closure was a calculated move from a few individuals who knew one too many in terms of their supposedly final gain..but its clear uchumi has the comman man favour and political goodwill to come through, and it will...jazz
