soccer and management

I promised a friend that i shall blog this - that 10 years from now i'll be using examples from the lovely game of soccer (e.g as played by Arsenal :) when they are in full flow ) to give examples on management...

so lets wait and see .. 10 years and counting down :)

i'm forced to agree, but you could also consider chelsea's mourinho as a perfect management case ...and you can't overlook Sir Alex you know!

Management and soccer have always been intriguing pals.
The speed at which we get results for tactical decisons made in soccer and the level of game theory in the sport just makes footie interesting to anyone interested in decisive issues.

I personally rate Benitez, Wenger Capello and Jose as some of the best tactical brains in the sport.

All the best in your quest and happy new year.

the AW - was just an example...

But true... SAF, Benitez, Capello, Jose and I also think Del Bosque (last time Real Madrid won the UCL) are top managers in their own right..

It could make an interesting MBA study :)
